ABOUT THE RETREAT
Join me for a magical retreat at the sacred Lake Atitlán in Guatemala. The lake’s magical and spiritual energy is undeniable, and during this retreat, we will have the opportunity to experience its magnetic, peaceful pull.
Mayan history is deeply rooted in the majestic highlands surrounding Lake Atitlán. Known for its breathtaking beauty and rich volcanic soil, this region provided an ideal setting for ancient Maya civilizations to flourish. The Popol Vuh, a sacred Maya text, identifies Lake Atitlán as the center of the cosmos.
The serene waters of Lake Atitlán serve as the backdrop for numerous sacred Maya rites and rituals. These traditions—some dating back to ancient times—play an indispensable role in the cultural and spiritual well-being of the local communities. By participating in these rituals and experiencing this sacred space, we can gain insight into the enduring reverence the Mayan hold for the cosmos and their ancestors—a crucial aspect of Maya culture at Lake Atitlán.
This retreat is designed to explore the Mayan traditions, connect with nature, and embrace 2027 with new beginnings. If you are seeking a sense of renewal, well-being, and peace, this is the place to start.
